My design approach
Research
I talk to users and stakeholders. Watch people use the current system. Dig into support tickets and analytics. The goal is simple: understand what's actually broken, not what people think is broken.
Design
Rough sketches and flows first. Early testing with paper prototypes or Figma drafts. Iteration based on real feedback. Showing messy work early saves time later.
Support
I stay involved during development because that's where design gets tested. Things always come up that no one anticipated. Being available to solve those problems quickly makes the difference. My technical background helps me understand constraints and communicate effectively with engineering teams.
